THE ATONEMENT/the life of Christ

This week I have been able to reflect upon the Atonement.  I realized I’ve been saying it/teaching it all wrong.  The Atonement isn’t just an event.  It´s Jesus Christ´s life.  HE came to the earth to do the will of the father.  He is the condescension of God.  He is a God who voluntarily descended to our earth to partake of the bitter cup, serve us, and save us as we readily repent and use HIS life to save our own.  Through my study of His life in the scriptures and in "The Living Christ" I have only begun to know my Savior a little bit more and understand how much HE and our Father in Heaven truly and infinitely love us.  Let us accept the invitation to repent so he can clean us.  He has the power to cure us.

19 And no unclean thing can enter into his kingdom; therefore nothing entereth into his rest save it be those who have washed their garments in my blood, because of their faith, and the repentance of all their sins, and their faithfulness unto the end.
20 Now this is the commandment: Repent, all ye ends of the earth, and come unto me and be baptized in my name, that ye may be sanctified by the reception of the Holy Ghost, that ye may stand spotless before me at the last day.
